The right words will invoke the right state of mind and from here you can achieve your goals.

Robert wrote the book to help anyone who believes that they can’t do things and who limit their experience of life because of fear. The book deals with this very complex issue in a very simple manner.

Wonderfully illustrated by Julie Fisher, the format of the book is very much that of a children’s storybook. This allows the reader to enjoy the story in a fun, uncomplicated way while positive change happens on a much deeper level.

‘The Story of I Can’t’ is a pocket-sized, ten-minute read. This makes it a widely accessible form of motivation. Give it to your friend, family member, work colleague… it really is suitable for everyone and what better gift is there than encouragement to live life to the full?

Rob's wonderful book 'The Story of I Can't' is available from good bookshops or online by clicking the logos.

"The Story of I Can't is a really nice, little book that "positively" hits the mark for those who struggle with low self-esteem!" Mark Stewart - Director of 'Wise Owl Toys'

"All my life I have struggled with my weight and this book certainly made me think and realise I could do something about it instead of hiding at home, covering up and not going out with my friends. I would like to thank Rob for this gem of a book and hope it helps many more people to get rid of their inner gremlins." Penny Houlston

"I was recently given a copy of your book by my niece. I LOVE IT! Part of my work as a Family Support Worker for Children's Services, is facilitating parent groups. During a recent session I read your book and felt that the impact was powerful and thought provoking for the parents with low self-esteem and little motivation. It's powerful for everyone. Now, all my colleagues have read the book and want one." Jayne Hudson

"I must admit when I first read it I thought, ahh nice - but not a lot more... that was until I was absolutley terrifed to do something - rock climbing actually... and it really did help! I look forward to more of the series." Sarah Ditchburn

"I have just acquired your book 'The Story of I Can't' - great use of NLP . When is your second book due to be published? I can't wait!" Dave Stewart

"Thank you for the book, it’s fab.  I like the way it is so easy to read, illustrations are clear and the whole book took little time to finish, making it achievable for those students who rarely complete anything, which in turn has an effect on their self esteem. It will be very useful in our Withdrawal Unit. Other members of the staff here have been very complimentary. Looking forward to the next one!" Julie Messent

"I read your book and think it's absolutely great! I think it's amazing how you've managed to put something very, very complicated, which affects everyone to some extend in very simple words, which makes it less scary. I definitely got something out of it and that's the main point." Carston Garbode

"I have shown your book to friends and some of my children, all of whom were impressed and uplifted by it. I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever that you have a big success on your hands." Tim Lee

"An incredibly important message."

"May these little books be as popular as the Mr Man titles. Personal growth in a fun, accessable and easy to digest bite. They beat the 12 CD series most offer for the same issue, for sure."

Alistair Horscroft (Ba hons) - T.V. Presenter and Trainer of NLP & Clinical Hypnotherapy

"The message is beguilingly simple, yet really stayed on in my head. A pure delight."

Alison Baverstock - Author of 'Is There A Book In You?'

"I always admire anything which strips an idea down to the simplicity, yet clarity, you have managed to express. One of the most interesting things is that it could be read and appreciated by all ages.  The simplicity, both of words and illustrations, makes one initially think it is for children, but, of course, it has a much wider appeal than that."

"The Story of I Can't" contains all anyone needs to know about getting the most out of life. Psychological research illustrates how fear is the only thing that holds people back and that fear can be overcome if only individuals are prepared to take a chance and do something differently.  Once they do, they discover that fear diminishes and life begins.  The author has managed to capture the essence of this lesson in a charming motivational book in a non-challenging and disarming manner.  Academics may say it is too simplistic but for those who need it, the book will provide food for thought and the first step to change is the awareness of what is holding us back.  This is the kind of book that you can read in 10 minutes but could be the beginning of a new life. If I had my way I would want to see this book given out in schools - the sooner we start helping our children learn the skills of successful living the sooner we create a healthier society."

Gladeana McMahon - Fellow of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, Association for Coaching, Royal Society of Arts, Institute of Management Studies and Co-Director of the Centre for Stress Management and Centre for Coaching.

“The Story of I Can't is a simple parable that makes you want to pull your finger out and do something! It only takes 5 minutes to read but its valuable insights can last a lifetime. It’s the next ‘Who Moved My Cheese’ and could be used to build motivation and enforce a positive attitude.”
